Background
ENTEL CHILE S.A. is a Chilenian telecommunications company that si also present in Peru. Its headquarters are in Santiago de Chile and it has been a governmental company until its complete privatization in 1992.

Challenges
To propose a solution that can provide traceability to emergency procedures, reducing the response time of medical assistance on field while coordinating with the rest of Chile’s emergency services such as police, ONEMI, and firefighters.

Proposed solution
TB CHILE SA, a local subsidiary of Technology group had proposed and has been selected by the Customer, for the integration of radio communications systems of different technologies such as VHF, UHF, TETRA and P25, RF call recording, provision of PTT on smartphones connected to mobile data networks, location and integration of radio systems to existing PBXs. The product used was WAVE, developed by our technology partner MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS.

Benefits
The technological solution that has been provided allows recording the communications between the radio operator and the ambulances, allowing traceability to the procedures as well as providing an alternative communication in areas of non-RF coverage integrating the radio system and the radio over IP solution provided.
A paramedic can communicate through his radio or PTT system on Smartphone to a mobile phone or PBX addendum and ask for instructions from a health specialist regardless of location. Emergency time defines the success of the mission.
