EDENOR
Background
After privatization of public services for both distribution and commercialization of electric power within the northwestern area of Buenos Aires City and twenty departments of Buenos Aires suburbs, the companies EDENOR, EDESUR and EDELAP were born in 1992.
EDENOR is part of Pampa Energía Group and supplies electricity to 2,908,432 customers along 4,637 KM.
Customer Requirements
Our Customer used to need infrastructure equipment to establish LAN to LAN links inside EDENOR backbone network in order to transport 2 Mbps E1-Frames.
These links had to support end to end corporate applications, running Ethernet protocol (IEEE 802.3) to connect the existing multiplexers and central exchanges through E1 frames. Ethernet 10/100 Mbps Interfaces and E1 frames fully supported was a mandatory requirement of our Customer.
Proposed Solution
EDENOR has chosen Technology Bureau’s proposal.
We’ve considered that equipment from the Italian company SIAE ELETTRONICA technologies were the perfect solution to afford customer’s requirements.
Then we have provided, installed and put into operation 53 radio links along Buenos Aires province, fully equipped ALCPlus Split type. These devices are composed of an outdoor RF assembly unit and an IDU indoor mounting unit. They fully comply with the requested capacity and interface for E1 frames. For the outdoor ODU Unit, an ASN module has been provided and installed.
